Dortmund-Newcastle: Official Lineups

After being humiliated in the Klassiker this past weekend, Dortmund will try to redeem themselves tonight as they host Newcastle in the 4th round of the Champions League. The Schwarz-gelben currently sit in second place ahead of their opponents tonight, and it is crucial for them not to lose if they want to keep their options open for reaching the knockout stage.

Edin Terzic has decided to structure his lineup around a 4-3-3 formation. Nmecha in midfield and Adeyemi in attack regain their starting positions. The former Salzburg striker will be on the wing, alongside Brandt, to provide good service to Füllkrug. The same setup is in place for Eddie Howe’s team. Still injured in the groin, Isak will leave the lead in the attack to Callum Wilson. Bruno Guimaraes will be in the heart of the game as the conductor with Willock and Longstaff by his side.

The official lineups are as follows:

Borussia Dortmund: Kobel – Sûle, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Ryerson – Sabitzer, Nmecha, Özcan – Adeyemi, Füllkrug, Brandt

Newcastle: Pope – Trippier, Lascelles, Schär, Hall – Longstaff, Guimaraes, Willock – Livramento, Wilson, Joelinton

It will be interesting to see how both teams perform with these lineups and whether Dortmund can bounce back from their recent defeat. Stay tuned for the match updates.
