FC Barcelona: Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane in the sights

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich ahead of next season.

The Catalan club have already identified a priority for the summer transfer window. The Blaugrana board want to sign a right-winger, and according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, they are tracking the situation of Leroy Sane.

Sane, 27, is currently at Bayern Munich. He is under contract until June 2025, but the German international (57 caps, 13 goals) has so far refused to enter into talks about a contract extension.

Barcelona would like to take advantage of this, but the task is likely to be difficult. Bayern are reportedly demanding €75 million to let go of their player. In addition, competition could be fierce, as Real Madrid and Arsenal are also following this file closely.

As for his performances on the pitch, the Essen native is shining with nine goals and five assists in 17 appearances in all competitions.

Sane is a versatile attacker who can play on either wing or as a central striker. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and finishing ability. He has won the Bundesliga title, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup with Bayern Munich.

If Barcelona can agree to a deal with Bayern, Sane would be a significant addition to their squad. He would provide the club with another attacking option and help to fill the void left by the departure of Ousmane Dembele.
