Marcos Alonso Set to Leave FC Barcelona at the End of the Season

At the age of 32 and with a contract until next June with FC Barcelona, defender Marcos Alonso is unlikely to continue his career in Catalonia.

Indeed, his departure seems to be a done deal within the club, and numerous options are opening up for him.

Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia are reportedly interested in bringing him in. However, the Spanish international has other potential avenues.

According to transfer market specialist Ekrem Konur, who has also had stints with Fiorentina, Chelsea, and Real Madrid, Alonso is reportedly on the radar of two Major League Soccer franchises, although their names have not been disclosed.
