Anna Lewandowska confirms Robert’s desire to stay at Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski has not been the same player since the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Polish striker had a spectacular start to his Barcelona career, scoring 18 goals in his first 19 appearances for the Blaugrana, the best of his career. But after the World Cup, Barcelona fans have seen a different Lewandowski.

Not only has his goalscoring productivity decreased, but Lewy has also been less involved in the game and has shown a lack of effectiveness that is uncharacteristic of one of the best strikers in history.

This decline in performance, coupled with Barcelona’s financial needs and the persistent interest from Saudi Arabia, has again put the Polish striker in the spotlight ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Saudi Professional League has already announced that it will try to sign him again, but Lewandowski made it clear in the summer that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona. He rejected a staggering offer of €150 million per year as proof of this.

His perception has not changed despite the crisis of play and results that the team led by Xavi Hernández has been facing. Lewy remains firm in his intention to fulfill the contract he signed with Barcelona until June 30, 2026.

And an interview given by his wife, Anna Lewandowska, to the portal ‘Onet’ does nothing but ratify that intention. The Polish striker’s wife gave more clues about Robert’s future plans. And they only pass through staying at Barcelona.

Anna spoke to journalist Ewelina Goleviowska about how her life has changed in Barcelona and how comfortable she feels in Catalonia, to the point that she is planning several future businesses, thus closing the door to an imminent change of air.

“For several months now I have been working on the opening of a gym and a dance school in Barcelona, where I have also been organizing sports championships,” explains a Lewandowska who is spending more and more time in the Catalan capital and less in Poland: “Although I continue to run businesses in Poland, I now go less often. I have to plan my professional commitments so that they do not interfere with my family life, because my daughter Klara goes to school.”

Anna explains that her professional situation was one of the main reasons why Lewandowski left Bayern for Barcelona: “When we lived in Munich, I was completely absorbed in work. I was getting into a kind of whirlwind and sometimes I wondered why I was doing that. Robert also asked me that question. After moving to Barcelona, I changed my way of seeing life. I started to appreciate it more and enjoy it to the fullest. The Catalans have taught me that there is only one life and that it is worth enjoying.”

The interview with Anna Lewandowska confirms what we already knew: Robert is happy in Barcelona and has no intention of leaving the club. His wife’s words are a clear indication that the Polish striker is fully committed to the Blaugrana project and is determined to help the team achieve its goals.
