Lucien Agoumé joins Sevilla on loan

French international midfielder Lucien Agoumé has joined Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season, the Andalusian club announced on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old, who joined Inter Milan in 2019, has never been able to establish himself in Lombardy. He was loaned to Spezia, Brest and Troyes, and has only made one Serie A appearance this season.

At Sevilla, Agoumé will have the opportunity to play for a top-level club and compete in the Champions League. The Andalusian club, which has won the European Cup three times, is currently third in La Liga and in contention for the title.

The non-obligatory purchase option is set at €8 million. Inter Milan also has a buy-back clause.

This transfer is good news for Agoumé, who needs playing time to develop. He will have the opportunity to shine in La Liga and catch the attention of scouts.

For Sevilla, this loan is a bet on the future. The Andalusian club has a good track record with young players, and Agoumé has the potential to become a good player.
