Rennes makes a new offer for Alidu Seidu

Rennes is still looking to sign Alidu Seidu from Clermont Foot, but the Ligue 1 club is demanding more money.

Rennes is in the market for a right-back to bolster its defense, which has conceded 22 goals this season. The club has already made a second offer of €9 million for Seidu, who is a 23-year-old Ghanaian international, according to L’Equipe.

However, Clermont is reportedly holding out for at least €10 million for Seidu, who is under contract until 2027. The Auvergnat club is struggling to avoid relegation from Ligue 1 and is looking to make a significant profit on the sale of the player.

If Rennes is willing to meet Clermont’s demands, it could reach an agreement quickly. Seidu has already given his approval to join Rennes, and he is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana.
