Elyaz Zidane leaves Real Madrid for Real Betis

Elyaz Zidane, the youngest son of legendary French footballer Zinedine Zidane, has left Real Madrid to join Real Betis. The 18-year-old defender has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Andalusian club, which runs until 2027.

Zidane, who can play in central defense or at left-back, was not getting enough playing time with Real Madrid’s U19 team this season. He made just 12 appearances for the team, starting in only five of those matches.

The move to Betis will give Zidane the opportunity to get more playing time and develop his career. He will initially join the club’s B team, which plays in the fourth division of Spanish football.

Zidane is hoping to play in the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship with France. He has been called up to the national team on several occasions and is a regular in the U19 squad.

The departure of Zidane leaves just one member of the Zidane family at Real Madrid. Elyaz’s older brother, Théo, is a goalkeeper for the club’s B team.

Zidane’s move to Betis is a good opportunity for him to develop his career. He is a talented young defender with a lot of potential. He will be hoping to make an impact at Betis and earn a call-up to the Real Madrid first team in the future.
