Manchester United wants to sign Ousmane Dembélé in the summer

Manchester United knows it needs to refresh its squad after a string of disappointing signings. And it’s going to try to do that with a player who hasn’t quite lived up to expectations at his last two clubs: Ousmane Dembélé.

After admitting they made a mistake with Antony, the Old Trafford club plans to sell the Brazilian at the end of the season and bring in the French winger, who has struggled to nail down a spot in Luis Enrique’s starting lineup, according to Todofichajes. In fact, the Spanish manager has given the PSG sporting director a list of potential departures, including the former Barcelona player.

Since they signed him for a bargain price, PSG is looking to make a profit on his transfer, especially knowing that his next destination will be the wealthy Manchester United. A price of €50 million plus add-ons would be enough to unlock a deal. That’s a reasonable amount for the Premier League team, and it would help them recoup some of their money and save themselves a hefty salary bill.

So far this season, Dembélé has scored just one goal in all competitions, despite the team’s big wins against some of Europe’s weaker sides. He has, however, provided eight assists.
