Jesper Bergvall wants to play for Barcelona

Barcelona is always on the lookout for the next big thing in European football, and the club has its sights set on Swedish midfielder Jesper Bergvall. The 19-year-old playmaker has been in fine form for Djurgårdens this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 15 appearances.

Bergvall made his international debut for Sweden on January 12, and he made it clear that he would prefer to play for Barcelona than Manchester City. “I want to play for a big club,” he said. “Barcelona is a great club with a lot of history, and I would be honored to play there.”

Bergvall also has offers from Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich, and Juventus. Djurgårdens would prefer to sell him to a German club, as they would receive a higher transfer fee. The Swedish club is reportedly demanding €10 million for Bergvall, while Barcelona is only willing to pay €6 million.

It remains to be seen whether Bergvall’s desire to play for Barcelona will be enough to convince the club to meet Djurgårdens’ demands. However, the Catalan club has a good track record of signing young players who have expressed a desire to play for them, such as Pedri and Ansu Fati.
