PSG eyeing Rafael Leão as Mbappé replacement?

With Kylian Mbappé reportedly set to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid this summer, the French champions are reportedly eyeing AC Milan striker Rafael Leão as his replacement.

Journalist Saber Desfarges reported on the French TV show Téléfoot on Sunday that PSG are in contact with Leão’s representatives and that the player is interested in a move to the Parc des Princes.

Leão, 23, has been in excellent form for Milan this season, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 17 Serie A appearances. He has also helped the Rossoneri reach the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Leão is under contract with Milan until June 2024, but the club could be willing to sell him for a relatively low fee. Milan paid Lille €30 million for Leão in 2018, and he has since developed into one of the most promising young strikers in Europe.

It remains to be seen whether PSG will be able to agree a deal with Milan for Leão, but he would certainly be a good fit for the French club. He is a quick, powerful striker with a good eye for goal, and he would provide PSG with a different option up front from Mbappé.
