Bayern’s offer for Araujo rejected by Barcelona

Barcelona are facing a busy summer, with the possibility of losing some of their star players not ruled out. Several of their players are being eyed by major teams, and given their complicated financial situation, selling some players would not be surprising.

However, not all players are close to the exit door. One who seems to be on the non-transferable list is Ronald Araujo. He is one of the most important pieces in the team, the coach trusts him, and they do not want to let him go, which is why they rejected an excellent offer in the winter.

Bayern Munich made an attempt

It’s no secret that Bayern is interested in the Uruguayan player. He has been on their radar for a while, and when the winter transfer window opened, they decided to make an offer that was not well received.

According to Barca Universal, the Bavarian club offered 80 million euros for his services and was also willing to pay Araujo a salary of 12 million euros. While this amount seemed irresistible, Barcelona responded with a resounding no.

A clear bet

We know that the Bundesliga team will not stop insisting on Araujo. They know that Barcelona’s financial situation is not good, and they intend to use that as an advantage. They are expected to present a new offer in the summer, perhaps with better conditions.

Although it seems that the Spanish club is refusing any deal involving Ronald, anything can happen in the summer. The team needs reinforcements, and letting go of one of their stars would give them the budget to do so.

For now, everything is quite uncertain. What we do know is that he has a contract with the club until the summer of 2026, and he has become very important this season. So far, he has accumulated 2,112 minutes in 25 games and has scored 1 goal.
