Barcelona: Two Premier League clubs target Vitor Roque

The Premier League’s financial muscle is allowing them to take advantage of the financial fragility of many of La Liga’s big clubs. One of these clubs that is really struggling financially is Barcelona.

Two clubs from England are now looking to sign Barcelona’s most recent signing, Vitor Roque, and they are not at all unknown to the Brazilian’s entourage, as both were negotiating his signing until the last day. It was finally Barcelona who signed the young attacker after paying a fixed fee of €30M plus €31M in variables.

Roque is not in Xavi’s plans and, as we reported a few days ago, the player would value a loan move to get more regular playing time. Barcelona would never accept a loan move in Spain, but they could accept a loan move to the Premier League. The problem is that both Manchester United and Tottenham are looking to sign the striker permanently.

Barcelona do not want to lose him, but if United and Tottenham pay slightly more than the fixed fee paid, and Barcelona save on the variables, it could be a good deal.

Unlike before, when the two English clubs offered the player a better contract, O Tigrinho has changed his mind and will listen more carefully to their proposals.
