Stipe Vulikic attracts interest from Hellas Verona and Parma

With the final stretch of the season underway, scouts from various clubs are making more frequent trips to stadiums to observe players they are interested in signing for next season. One of these players is Stipe Vulikic, who plays in Serie C for Perugia.

The Croatian defender, born in 2001, joined Perugia in the summer of 2022 from HRV Dragovoljac and has confirmed himself as one of the most interesting prospects in the defensive department this season.

Despite a physical problem that kept him out of action until last Saturday’s match against Ancona (in which he was used as a left-sided centre-back in a three-man defence by Perugia coach Fabrizio Formisano), the player from Split has made 24 appearances and scored one goal between the league and the Coppa Italia Serie C.

This has caught the attention of two clubs in particular.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Hellas Verona and Parma are interested in the Croatian colossus (he is 1.93 cm tall) regardless of the category in which they will play in the 2024/2025 season. Although for the Ducali, there are very few doubts about which league they will be taking part in.

Hellas Verona are currently in 10th place in Serie A, 10 points above the relegation zone. They have conceded 39 goals in 27 games, which is the second-worst defensive record in the top half of the table.

Parma are currently in first place in Serie B, 10 points ahead of second-placed Genoa. They have conceded 26 goals in 27 games, which is the best defensive record in the league.

It is therefore clear that both clubs are looking to strengthen their defence in the summer, and Vulikic could be a good option for either team.
