Rafael Benitez has been sacked by Celta Vigo after a dismal run of results.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid manager arrived at the Balaidos Stadium at the start of the season, but he was unable to turn things around for the club.
Celta Vigo are currently 17th in La Liga, just two points above the relegation zone.
The club announced Benitez’s departure in a statement on Tuesday.

“Rafa Benitez and RC Celta have parted ways,” the statement read. “Our sincere appreciation to Rafael Benitez and his technical staff for the commitment, honesty and professionalism they have shown during their time at the club. We wish them all the best in the future.”
Benitez’s departure comes as no surprise, as he had been under increasing pressure from fans and the media.
The 62-year-old has been replaced by former Celta player Eduardo Coudet.
Coudet, who has previously managed Racing Club and Internacional, has signed a contract until the end of the season.
He will be hoping to guide Celta Vigo to safety and avoid relegation.
