AC Milan are once again looking to Real Madrid for reinforcements, this time targeting midfielder Dani Ceballos.
The Spanish playmaker, who hails from Utrera, signed a contract extension with Real Madrid until 2027 last summer, despite having offers to leave on a free transfer. Ceballos was hoping to earn a regular starting spot under Carlo Ancelotti, but a preseason injury hampered his chances and he has struggled to break into the first team this season.
With Luka Modric nearing the end of his career and Toni Kroos needing to be managed carefully, the competition for places in Real Madrid’s midfield is fierce. AC Milan are hoping to take advantage of this situation and have offered to take Ceballos on loan.
This would be a similar move to the one that Brahim Díaz made from Real Madrid to Milan in 2020. Díaz returned to Real Madrid last summer after a successful two-year loan spell at Milan, but has again found it difficult to get regular playing time.
The relationship between Real Madrid and AC Milan is excellent, and Ceballos may be open to a move to Italy in order to get more playing time. The player’s agent has already been contacted by Milan.
