Marcus Thuram’s bold request to Inter president Steven Zhang

After clinching his first Serie A title with Inter Milan, Marcus Thuram has made a cheeky request to club president Steven Zhang.

Thuram, who joined Inter on a free transfer last summer, played a crucial role in the Nerazzurri’s victory over AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, securing the Serie A title with a 2-1 win.

Celebrating the momentous occasion, Thuram hosted an Instagram Live session with Zhang and teammate Hakan Çalhanoglu. After jokingly pointing out that both he and Çalhanoglu arrived at Inter on free transfers, Thuram made a bold request to his president.

“Çalhanoglu, Thuram, zero,” the 26-year-old striker said. “A coffee costs more than us. We can have a gift, right?”

Zhang, taken aback by Thuram’s audacity, jokingly replied, “I knew this Live was a mistake.”

It remains to be seen whether Thuram’s tongue-in-cheek request will be granted by the Inter president. However, one thing is certain: Thuram has made a significant impact in his first season at the club, and his contributions have been instrumental in Inter’s title-winning campaign.
