Bayern Munich: Kingsley Coman returns to training

Good news for fans of the French team! French international Kingsley Coman has returned to training.

The club announced this on Monday. Bayern Munich stated in a press release on their social media account that the winger had resumed training today. The former Paris Saint-Germain player made his comeback on the pitch with a running session.

Ready for the Euro?

With this update, one burning question is on everyone’s minds: Will Kingsley Coman be ready for and able to participate in the Euro? While time seems tight, there are reasons to be hopeful. The European championship kicks off on June 10th. However, the former Juventus player doesn’t have all that time. Indeed, the French national team coach Didier Deschamps will announce his list of selected players on May 16th.

Coman could hope to make the cut as the UEFA has extended the list of selected footballers to 26, not to mention last-minute surprises such as injuries.

One thing is certain, this season will be unique for Kingsley Coman. The Paris native won’t win the league with the Bavarian team. It’s a first since 2013, when he started at 16 with the PSG professional team. He had always clinched the national championship title with his successive clubs, whether it was Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus Turin, or Bayern Munich.

This season, Coman played 28 games, scoring 5 goals, and providing 3 assists for Bayern Munich. With the French national team, he has 55 caps and 8 goals to his name.
