Real Madrid seal dramatic UCL final spot with last-gasp heroics

What a night for Real Madrid! Los Blancos booked their place in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund with a thrilling 4-3 aggregate win over Bayern Munich. Substitute Joselu emerged as the unlikely hero, grabbing a dramatic late brace to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Real came into the second leg on a high after winning La Liga, while Bayern were reeling from a disappointing domestic season. The home side started brightly at the Bernabéu, with Vinícius Júnior causing havoc down the left flank. However, Neuer was in inspired form, making a string of brilliant saves to deny Vinícius and Rodrygo.

Bayern threatened on the counter-attack, with Harry Kane forcing a good save from Lunin. But it was Alphonso Davies who stole the show just after half-time, unleashing an unstoppable rocket from distance to put the Bavarians ahead.

Real Madrid thought they had levelled straight away, but Nacho’s goal was controversially ruled out for a foul in the box. The game seemed destined for a tense finish, until Neuer made a shocking error in the 88th minute. He fumbled Vinícius’ shot, allowing the on-loan Joselu to tap home the equalizer and send the Bernabéu into a frenzy!

There was more drama to come in stoppage time! Joselu popped up again, this time finishing superbly from Antonio Rüdiger’s cross. The goal was initially ruled out for offside, but VAR overturned the decision, sparking wild celebrations in Madrid.

This remarkable comeback victory sends Real Madrid into the final against Dortmund, with the chance to win a record-extending 15th Champions League title. Vinícius Júnior was awarded Man of the Match for his tireless performance down the wing. But the headlines will undoubtedly belong to Joselu, the unlikely hero who stole the show with his late double.
