Sergio Ramos Might Be Heading to the MLS

Ever since leaving PSG last summer, Sergio Ramos has been spending his days, more or less happily, with Sevilla FC, the club where he began his career. Despite the disappointing results of the Andalusian club, the Spanish stalwart has featured in 30 matches this season and has performed well despite his team’s inconsistent form.

However, with his contract set to expire in a few weeks, his future in southern Spain hangs in the balance. According to the latest reports from The Athletic, a move to the MLS this summer is on the cards.

Indeed, as per the English source, negotiations between San Diego FC and the former Real Madrid legend are at an advanced stage. While nothing has been finalized yet, both parties are reportedly optimistic about reaching an agreement.

Following in the footsteps of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, the MLS is gearing up to welcome another icon from the La Liga of the 2010s. And incidentally, another big name from the footballing world.
