Arsenal’s big move to dethrone City

Arsenal came very close to winning the Premier League title again. The Gunners are still growing under Mikel Arteta, but they have not yet achieved a major trophy that would allow them to consolidate a project on the rise.

The London team also faced Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by the Bavarians, who used their experience to knock out the Englishmen.

After ending the season with only the Community Shield title under their belt, Arteta wants to strengthen the squad in order to finally dethrone City as the dominators of English football. And, clearly, one of the deficits of the Gunners squad is the lack of a differential center-forward.

In fact, the Basque coach has opted for Kai Havertz as a false nine in important matches to solve the problem. Although the German has not performed poorly, Arsenal need a striker who lives for goals and is decisive in the box.

And it seems that the English sporting director is determined to find him in this transfer market. With the name of Benjamin Sesko on the table, Italy is pointing to another player of enormous quality for the Gunners attack.

According to information from Gianluca Di Marzio of ‘Sky Italia’, Arsenal are reportedly after Victor Osimhen, a Napoli striker. The Nigerian forward is one of the best goalscorers in football and for weeks there has been speculation about a possible departure from the Neapolitan club.

However, it will not be a cheap operation. Osimhen has a market value of over 100 million euros and Napoli are usually a tough nut to crack in negotiations for their players. So, if Arsenal want him, they will have to make a millionaire’s move in a key move to their aspirations against Manchester City.
