Real Madrid's reaction to PSG's £212m bid for Lamine Yamal: "It doesn't seem likely..."

In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk in France about the possibility of Paris Saint-Germain signing Lamine Yamal as a replacement for Kylian Mbappé.

“It doesn’t seem likely,” is the phrase being used by those close to Real Madrid when asked about the news that has come out of France in recent days regarding Mbappé’s replacement and Paris’s pursuit of Yamal.

Those at Real Madrid believe that PSG will strengthen by signing several players, rather than focusing all their efforts on one star. After the Parisian star and all the conditions he had, the Parisian club would like to make a major structural change so that something like this does not happen again.

That’s why Luis Enrique and his team want to build a good squad, where everyone is in the same boat, even though there will logically be players with a more important role.

Lamine Yamal won’t be leaving

On the other hand, Real Madrid don’t see Lamine Yamal leaving Barcelona so soon. He is only 16 years old and the Blaugrana club is where he has been trained, and the club that gave him the opportunity to make his debut at such a young age. He is growing by leaps and bounds and his value will increase in the coming seasons, but that doesn’t seem to matter to Barcelona.

At the moment, the club’s financial situation is not good at all, and an income of £212m for a youth player would come in handy for Barcelona, but the club does not want to let go of a player like Lamine, who excites the fans. If they lost him, they would lose their standard-bearer, the new idol of the fans. In addition, they believe that in the long run, the player will generate much more profit for them.
